The Artisan Behind the Work
Darmikk Designs is the work of sole artisan Darrell Remole. Every item is designed and handcrafted in his workshop using traditional techniques, quality materials, and a deep respect for craftsmanship.
From Shaker-style oval boxes to stained glass panels and lamps, each piece reflectts a commitent to beauty, function, and lasting quality.
Shaker Box Making
In November of 1998, Darrell attended a class at Shaker Village, learning the fundamentals of box making from master box maker John Wilson. What began as boxes for friends soon grew into Darmikk Designs.
Woodwork with History
Darrell restores antique U.S. Post Office lock box doors and incorporates them into handmade wooden banks and keepsake boxes. His work features fine hardwoods, dovetail joinery, and detailed craftsmanship.
Stained Glass Art
Darrell's stained glass journey begain in June of 1983. He started with sun-catchers and advanced to lamp shades, window panels, mobiles, mirrors, and more. He has repaired, taught, and created stained glass art for decades.
